In case you didn’t know, October is Cyber
Security Awareness Month in the US and the EU. The goal is to reinforce the
idea that each of us plays an important role in protecting our digital lives.
This year’s theme “Our Shared Responsibility” focuses on the internet as a shared resource and its safety being everyone’s responsibility. We owe it to each other to be educated, and employ more secure measures when sharing content online. Things as simple as learning how to identify spam email and deleting it instead of forwarding on to your friends can make a big difference! Even the U.S. President Obama is getting in on the action! - 8. Always think twice before posting any content online: to post or not to post?
- 9. Never visit a site that you don’t know to be reputable. Adopt safe browsing habits.
