How brilliant was that Opening Ceremony? Even if you didn’t have the chance to watch it, I’m sure you’ve all heard about the highlights by now…like the Queen jumping out of the helicopter with James Bond? Or Mr Bean (Rowan Atkinson) running along the beach with Harold Abrahamson and Eric Liddell?!
What really got me was the music. I’m not sure you all know this about me yet, but I’m quite the music buff…and don’t think just because I’ve got 4 legs, I can’t dance! Danny Boyle, the Director did a brilliant job, and it’s no wonder more than 10,000 copies of the album sold in the first 24 hours. The range of talent was impressive, everyone from Underworld to David Bowie was included, and the music was completely representative of the dramatic range of cultures we have here in Britain. A particular highlight for me was Paul McCartney, what a way to close the show!
Have you backed up your Olympics pics and music? I have!
With all the people parading around London, I’m just glad that I remembered to back up all my music with BullGuard Mobile Backup. The auto backup feature has really come in handy with all of the video and pictures I’ve been taking. I’m confident that even if I lose my phone, I won’t be losing these once in a lifetime memories and pictures!
I’ve been hearing rumors that they will also be releasing the Closing Ceremony album, which is said to include bands like the Who, and hopefully some others that were missing from the Opening Ceremony, like The Police and Depeche Mode – I can’t wait!
What was your favourite part about the Opening Ceremony? And what’s your favourite British band?
Thrilled to be a part of this,
